Merry Christmas Captiva!
Excellent and well appointed beach front house at the Southern end of Captiva. The house is very well maintained and was exceedingly clean. The kitchen and grill were well stocked with tools, pots and pans. Two coffee makers - a Keurig and a drip with a separate coffee grinder. Second fridge in the ground level area. Immediate beach access. Plenty of seating for meals on the screened porch or in the dining area. Beautiful grounds and pool area. Private screened porch overlooking the beach for the master suite. Highly recommend a visit!

Surfcomber on Captiva: A+
We had the great fortune to spend 3 weeks at this beautiful property on the Gold Coast of Captiva. The layout of the home was ideal for our family, and the cleanliness and amenities were top-notch. We spent hours in the beautiful warm pool and jacuzzi and enjoyed access to the beach on the path next to the home. Maintenance on the home is fantastic, including the pool being kept sparkling clean. We cherished nightly sunsets from the screened porch and cooked many great meals in the well-stocked kitchen. We highly recommend this property, and can't wait to return!

We love Surfcomber and the property has everything you need for your family gathering! If you have cooks the kitchen has everything you need for a family meal plus the great BBQ station by the pool area. Been staying for over 10 years and it’s our favorite home after visiting the island for 30 years!!

Great Week At Surfcomber
My wife and I and her parents were fortunate enough to stay at Surfcomber Beach Home on Captiva the last week of April. We worked with American Realty and our experience with them was 100%.
We found that the home far exceeded our expectations. Everyone had their own very large guestroom with private bath and the top floor master was spacious with a sitting area and a private screened in deck overlooking the gulf. There is another large room with a bath on the top floor that would be perfect for kids.
the kitchen is large and modern and seems to have had a facelift recently. We did a lot of cooking and always found whatever we needed was there. A built in icemaker was a nice touch as well. There is a large dining area off the kitchen, and another big room with a television. The full length screened porch with great gulf sunset views was where we spent a lot of our time.
The private, heated pool was another excellent amenity. Lots of seating with shade and nice floats, plus a poolside restroom
The ground level under the home has a second
washer / dryer, and it's where we loaded all our luggage and gear into the elevator, (yep an elevator) so there was no lugging everything up the stairs. This was also a plus for my elderly in laws.
The property is very large and the house sits well off the road, minimizing street noise. The beach and the gulf are a very short walk, and tons of beach gear as well as bicycles are included.
We found the home to be spotlessly clean on arrival. The restaurant at South Seas was pretty good, and we took tours with the outfitter at Ding Darling, as well as a boat trip to Cayo Costa state park. It was a great week that we hated to see come to an end. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Surfcomber to anyone that loves the sea and the island and is looking for an upscale beach rental.
We are planning to return someday ourselves.

Great family vacation spot
We've stayed at Surfcomber for years. We are glad to return for the first time since the hurricane. The property has had some very nice upgrades to the kitchen and bathrooms. The view of the sunset on the gulf is always breathtaking. The pool at Surfcomber is hands down the best! The island is still recovering from the hurricane. Both adjoining properities are under construction. Of note, the beds are hard and the pillows are flat. If that's what your family likes, it will be fine. Don't let it stop you. There are only a few restaurants on Captiva. The Mucky Duck is always good. Doc Ford's, Tutti Pazzi, and Traders are sure bets on Sanibel. Go to Sanibel and check out Ding Darling Preserve and the historical village.

Paradise
We had a wonderful time at Surfcomber. The house was very spacious, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The description is accurate but I would also add that there is both a drip and Kcup coffee maker, pool floats, beach chairs, beach buckets and even shell scoopers. Initially, we didn't have enough beach umbrellas but a call to management quickly solved the issue. Our family loved the house and location and now have wonderful memories of our time spent on Captiva.

Wonderful roomy house on the water
Beachcomber is a great house with a perfect location. The four bedrooms and four full bathrooms make it great for our family. The extra 1/2 bath by the pool is very handy too.

Highlights: big well equipped kitchen, wonderful screened porch across front of the house facing the Gulf with loungers and second dining table and chairs, screened porch facing gulf on 2nd floor off master bedroom, elevator handy for moving in and out, grocery unloading etc, the sunny heated pool, excellent maintenance standards.

Surfcomber 2024 !
Have stayed in Surfcomber many years. New kitchen and bathrooms , all repainted interior walls new. Pool in great Shape. The house was in better shape than ever. Foliage blocked the view of the water and beach and unfortunately the noseeums left their mark by the hundreds on the entire family. Won’t return until more redevelopment and controll of insects.
