Sea La Vie is perfect
House was spotlessly clean and move-in ready at 4:00 as promised. Furnished with everything needed for a great vacation experience. Everything is within an easy walk... Beach, water toys and restaurants. We booked the same time next year before we left. Thank you American Realty for your professional management. A perfect "10"! Rod

Fantastic Vacation Home
There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this vacation home. It is very spacious with lots of places to hang out inside or outside...and with a pool! And between walking to the beach, restaurants, shops and everything in between, it is the best location. If you’re looking for a big house to accommodate a large group and want to be in the heart of it all, this is your place. We loved it!!

Sea la Vie 2021 review
We enjoyed our time there as we have for the last several years! A great place to kick back and relax! Lots of indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces! Close to the beach and all the attractions on Andy Rosse is also a plus!

Family Vacation
Originally this trip was planned to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in 2020 with kids and grandkids but all that changed with COVID. Fortunately Lisa at American Reality stepped up and saved the day by working with us to re-book the in 2021. Sea La Vie lived up to all our expectations and exceeded them so many ways. The home was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, had every amenity we would need to enjoy our vacation. On top of all that with four young grandkids it was perfectly located just off the beach. As great as the house was and the convenience of location Lisa at American Realty went above and beyond in answering all our questions so we were able to enjoy our vacation!

Luxury and Convenience in Lovely Captiva
This home is beautiful, functional and updated from past years when we stayed there. This may have been our third year there. The decorating is fun, tropical and whimsical. The kitchen utensils are plentiful and functional, thus making food preparation very easy.

Great experience
We had a great time on Captiva staying a Sea La Vie. It’s a short walk to the beach. The house was very accommodating with everything we needed. The stairs in the front and back are very steep, which is a challenge for an older person or one with a disability. We rented a golf cart for the week, which made it very easy to navigate the island. Parking could be a problem if you have more than two vehicles. All in all in was a fun time for our three families with six children spanning three generations.

Fabulous Vacation
Our stay here was our best vacation yet... period. The house is fantastic and they have finished some needed upkeep since we were here last year. Location is almost impossible to beat, house is incredible and management company did a great job.

The ONLY issue we run into with this house is the relatively little storage space for food in the kitchen. Their is a fair amount of cabinetry but it is filled with the things that you need to make a kitchen work. So we improvise on storage places.

December family gathering at Sea La Vie
We loved our stay at Sea La Vie! Ideal location, great property, well equipped and plenty of room for our group of 10. American Realty of Captiva was most responsive and accommodating during our stay. We will book again next year.

Amazing Sea La Vie
This beautiful home on Captiva was the perfect home for our family vacation. The 6 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms made it so that each couple didn't have to share a bathroom. We had 10 people in our group. The living area was decorated with cute whimsical features and was bright and airy. The kitchen had everything one would need for cooking, plenty of dishes and silverware. The pool area was beautiful, and the greenery was growing back and should eventually give the pool some shade. However, the covered area at the pool was fully appointed with nice furnishings and plenty of room to stay in the shade. American Realty was at our beck and call and handled every request quickly and efficiently. Our family vacation was a huge success. We definitely will use American Realty again and would love to stay at Sea La Vie again.

Sea La Vie
The stairs going down to the pool from the porch have a lot of cracks in them and the railing is very loose. Not safe. we love the location. Enjoyed our trip.

Missing that little extra
The house is in a great location and well appointed, but it lacked the little things that it needed. The kitchen is dated. The hot tub didn't work properly and we had maintenance issues during our stay. The issues were quickly resolved, but for the cost it could have been handled better. The worst was we had no beach chairs or umbrellas at the house. I'm sorry this is a must for a house this close to the beach. We had to rent them at an extra cost. Unacceptable. The other things that was an issue was parking. For the number of people we had the parking was poor. Also, I know it was in control of the property owner but the road was being repaved when we were staying at the property. Who does that in the middle of a busy rental season?

Disappointed-In need of repairs!
We were so looking forward to our stay at Sea La Vie. The home is very spacious and located in a prime area. However, the condition of Sea La Vie does not warrant the high rent we paid. This is our 6th time renting a large home during the holiday season in Captiva. This was by far the most neglected rental we have stay at! We paid a premium for this home due to the peak season and location but our whole family felt is was extremely overpriced for the poor condition.
We understand that a large home like this which attracts large groups is bound to have normal wear and tear but this home was beyond that. For example, the master bath floor tile in the main walkway was completely cracked and popped up which not only prevented you from opening and closing the was dangerous to walk on with bare feet. We were frankly shocked that the home would be rented with this obvious hazard. There were numerous large water stains in the ceiling, as well as, multiple places where the drywall tape was peeling away from the wall. All of these issues are in plain view. So again we were baffled that they haven't been taken care of or at least mentioned to us prior to our arrival. Our 2nd day we notified the management company that many of the kitchen outlets weren't working. An electrician did make repairs two days prior to our departure. Overall the kitchen cabinets were pretty banged up and lacked space for our food storage. Other items noticed were missing cabinet panels in the entertainment/bookshelves. The black fabric was a bit tacky. Although the basement was spacious, it had an unpleasant odor. Might have been the worn carpet on the stairs. We had a difficult time keeping the pool and hot tub at a comfortable temperature. This was very disappointing for all of us. These neglected items are a poor reflection on the property management and the owners. It truly is a beautiful and spacious home. However, it's a shame that it has not been better cared for!
