56 Sunset Captiva

This rental is within (short) walking distance to everything— pool, beach and the village. It is clean, comfortable, and gets plenty of light. Plenty of kitchenware for any cooking you might do. Nice furniture.. We had no contact with the owners, but the property manager was great!

Sunset Captiva #56 is located in the beautifully maintained Sunset Captiva development. The unit is clean and well stocked. It’s a short walk to the beach, docks, and downtown Captiva. We will be back...:)

My wife and I spent Thanksgiving on Captiva and stayed at 56 Sunset Captiva, which was wonderful. The house was in an ideal location, clean and well appointed and very close to the beach...about 75 yards walk. Although we did not use the pool or tennis courts, they looked inviting. An ideal location central to everything Captiva.

As always, Sunset Captiva was wonderful! This is such a great location just steps to the beach and to memorable sunrises on the bay. Captiva village is also a quick walk and manatee watching at Jensen's is just across the street. Shout out to the awesome property manager of Sunset Captiva, George who takes such good care of things.

We really enjoyed the beach house vibes of this place. The floors are really nice white washed wood and the layout is great for a family. Everything we needed for a week of beach fun and cooking in. We had a couple maintenance issued that were taken care of super quick. Can't wait to go back.

We have stayed at Sunset Captiva every year at Christmas for the last 13 years. It is our favorite location. You are close to the beach and within walking distance to all restaurants and shops along with having access to the pool and tennis courts. #56 is charmingly decorated and updated and stocked with just about everything you could need for cooking and staying in if you want along with a wagon to load your beach items in to make your time at the beach easier. We really enjoyed our stay at #56 it was clean and fit our family of 6 very comfortably.

This is our second year staying at this lovely property on Beautiful Captiva Island. As soon as you enter you see terrific artworks all around the house and a real beach house feel is created by the pastel color décor. We visit in September which is a quite time in Captiva but no less sunny and you have the beach to yourself. Cant wait for next year

This was our 3rd time renting SC 56. We’ve stayed in many homes in this community and love it. 56 is a comfortable, well equipped home. Loved having a wagon available this time, to transport beach supplies. We were amazed at the job that property manager, George and others have done to recover from the hurricane. We also appreciated the responsiveness and professionalism of Albert at American Realty.

56 Captiva was a great location to the town area and the pool and beach. The walk to all locations was very pleasant. The property outside area manager was friendly and very informative. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We would have liked a broom to sweep the sand we tracked on outside steps and inside the front door. The electric outlet on the west wall in the dining room sparked. We noticed that most of the old outlets need to be replaced as device plugs don’t fit tightly anymore. We would rent this property again.

Location and wild life seen at Sunset Captiva is incredible. We walk to dinner, to the beach and to our boat. We couldn't ask for anything more.

We loved 56 Sunset Captiva, it was exactly as pictured, maybe a little better. Very clean and well equipped. Location was perfect...close to beach, easy walk to the village and restaurants. The community was clean and friendly. American Realty was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Would definitely stay there again.

We had originally booked a week at another property managed by American Realty for March 2023, right before Ian hit.They worked with us to rebook our stay for Jan 2024, but when the property wasn't going to be available due to delay in repairs, they offered us this property. We were very happy with this unit and with the help Albert and Lisa provided us. This unit is up to date and very clean. The pool was great, and access to the beach was perfect. We would highly recommend this unit.

We stayed in Sunset Captiva and once again were extremely satisfied with our accommodations. ARG allowed us to enter the rental early and provided us with a late check out when our flight was delayed. The unit was immaculate and very comfortable. It has all of the amenities we could use. The perfect location for any activity you could enjoy.

The location was great!! American Reality was a pleasure to work with and quick to respond when you call maintenance issues. The house could use some updates, the plugs were very loose(chargers would not stay plugged in) microwave was cracked, but overall clean and in a great location.

Great unit. Well located. Nicely appointed. Only issue we had that isn’t easily resolved is nothing we plugged into the electrical outlets would stay in the outlets. Everything would just fall out of the outlet.

We tried a new place this year - the location had everything we wanted. We would probably like to rent two weeks next year after maintenance is performed and the unit restocked with glasses, pans, etc. The front door needs new weather stripping.

Property is at a nice location for walking almost anywhere you want to go! Beach equipment very nice and useful. Pool looked inviting but spent so much time on beach that we didn’t get to use it. House while nice could use some updating in bathrooms most importantly. Albert and Rod were very responsive to our 2 small problems of screen room handle came loose and beach umbrella replacement after one of ours took sail on the only slightly windy day we had!
Happy to see the recovery of Captiva. The last we visited was 2018 and had reserved for 2022 but unable to come until this visit!
Hope to come back next year!!

We loved the Sunset Captiva community. #56 was about a five minute walk to the pool and beach access. American Realty was very responsive and professional. The unit itself needs updating. Upon arrival, the toilet was running in master bedroom so we had to immediately have maintenance come fix that. While we were there, maintenance had to come and replace valves for insurance purposes. The A/C unit could not keep the unit cool during the daytime. American realty had someone come check it out, but not much they could do. Thermostat would be set to 72 and it would be 78 in unit. We would just go to the unit my brother rented to get cool! The back deck stairs were blocked off because they need to be replaced. The unit was clean and overall decorated nicely. I would definitely recommend American Realty and staying at Sunset Captiva, but maybe not this unit.

We enjoyed our stay on Captiva in Sunset Captiva # 56. We have stayed in Sunset Captiva many times & are familiar with the experience. However the keys were not at the unit when we arrived. I went to the office to see where the keys were & was told to go back and wait. Had a car full of groceries & some went bad. Had to go back to office again because I was worried that the office would close and I still would not have the keys! Still no keys; eventually someone showed up and had 1 key that worked with the expectation that a new set would arrive on Monday. Did not happen. Not the best service and would not rent through American realty again. Property could use a little TLC.

Good location. The property is dated! Beds are hard as rocks, with terrible pillows. Furnishings are worn out. Kitchen supplies are sparse at best. No workable beach chairs, wagon has flat tire, no umbrellas.
This property should be scrubbed down, all new furnishings, kitchen should be stocked!
